12 – Disneyland Acid Trips and the Travel Day From Hell

We’re back with another un-themed episode of craziness from the world’s worse travel mishaps! We’re getting loosey goosey, it’s a free for all!

Christine has been sick this week, but that won’t hold her back from telling some crazy stories. She kicks off the episode with an in the news story submitted from listener Rachel Blatt (@rach.resfeber). On board a flight from Guangzhou, China to New York, a doctor used a makeshift catheter to suck 800ml of urine from elderly man to save his life during flight. Drinking pee, saving lives! Then Jules tells Christine a news story of a Swiss couple that decided to take acid at Disneyland in Paris. Long story short, the search party looks everywhere for the boyfriend. He’s found the next morning, stark naked by someone driving on the highway. Yikes!

For our main stories, Christine tells Jules about another listener story, this one submitted by Chris Waddell (@cwaddell88). Chris had an unfortunate bout of food poisoning after eating Alpaca lasagna. He didn’t let that deter him from visiting Machu Picchu though! He put his duty free bag to good use as a vomit bag. Then on the way back to Cusco he dislocated his shoulder in the shuttle. Literally the travel day from hell!

Finally, Jules tells Christine the unbelievable story of Anton Pilipa, a Toronto man who went missing for 5 years, only to appear in Brazil! He walked and hitchhiked the whole way down!
