Bitten by a Dolphin

Next up Jules tells the Voyagers story from friend and fellow travel blogger Mar (Once In a Lifetime Journey) who took a trip tom Cuba and was bit on the foot by an unhappy dolphin. This trip happened back in 2001, but the lessons as old as time…. don’t fuck with wild animals. A good reminder and lesson to all travelers not to participate in any tours that interact with wild animals. Not only are the animals treated poorly, but their freedom is restricted…. and that ain’t cool!

Amazon Jungle Survival Story of Juliane Koepcke

For our main tale today Christine tells Jules about story of Juliane Koepcke, a 17 year old girl who not only survives a plane crash, but also 11 days in the Amazon jungle before she’s finally rescued. First the plane she’s on explodes midair and she falls 10,000ft down into the Amazon jungle…. and survives! No one knows how, but while still strapped into her plane chair, she wakes up on the ground and has survived the floor.

What happens next is a crazy ass story of survival. Juliane treks 11 days through the deep, dark Amazon to safety. This is by far one of the craziest stories we’ve ever told on the podcast. Juliane is truly a miracle child!
